Dear Blog World,

I'm sick.
I have been snuggling on the futon in the back room
of our store for the past two days.
I attempted work twice, and was sent home twice.

So here I sit.

I am trying to stifle my coughing,
because being sick is bad for business.
And I don't want to scare any customers off
with my sneezing/coughing/moaning.

Being sick usually makes me antsy,
because I definitely feel like I should be using
any "free time" I get to accomplish
something grand.

But today has been a good sick day.

The following is a compilation of the
grand things
I accomplished today - despite feeling miserable.

I designed our newest marketing material for Apple Wellness:

I took a long nap.

I caught up on my blog reading.

I had a really good idea.

I talked to my mom.

I felt very proud when three customers
brought in their Columbus Day coupons.

I taste tested several types of granola and two flavors of iced tea...

I took my vitamins.

I hid from customers.

I let Timmy pamper and sing
"Happy 27 Months" to me…
(we've been together 27 months now!)

I finished Rynn's wedding programs.
(finally)

 (here's the front)

And I got to spend the whole day with my lovey.

It's been a good sick day.

Magical things will be happening at my house on Saturday night.

Girls, giggles, and underwear. Delightful!

(Timmy has already informed me that he plans to disappear on Saturday night. Hehe.)

A Wedding Invitation Suite for the Princess

With colors fit for royalty,

ornate filigree,

sweet old fashioned wording

and romantic touches…

A suite fit for a princess.

More specifically, my pretty little princess with starry eyes. The princess who will be wearing her grandmother's wedding gown as she marries her true love under a tall sweeping oak tree. The princess who told me with great excitement "These invitations are exactly perfect."

(Oh, and just you wait until you see how this all goes together! Feathers, sealing wax, and beautiful slate grey envelopes will be involved…)

One Year.

One year ago today, October 13, 2008, Timmy and I decided to get married. (He did not officially propose to me until December 13th -- but that is another magical story.) We had been dating for four months, and suddenly our relationship became perfectly clear and we both knew. Just knew that when we gazed into each other's eyes, forever was staring back at us.

A year ago today, I began planning my wedding, set for June 20, 2009.

One year goes by so, so quickly... and now I am 4 months married, the happiest I have ever been in my entire life.

Now that the Apple Cafe project is mostly over, I will be putting my efforts back into my freelance design work, and highlighting some of my recent wedding designs.
